I am reaching my 50th year as a pilot in a few days. Ted was my first instructor at Connecticut Air Service and signed me off for my solo flight. He had me stop the Cessna 150 on the runway, said "let me see three nice landings", and got out. It was one of the most eventful moments of my life and set me on a career in aviation and a life long passion. Rest in peace.
